Trusting totally in the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation, we believe in the following teachings, practices, and principles of the Baptists:

1. Preeminence of Christ as our Divine Lord and Savior;

2. Supreme authority of the Bible as the inspired word of God, and its sufficiency as our only rule of faith and practice;

3. Right of private interpretation and the competency of the individual in direct approach to God;

4. Support Religious Freedom;

5. Born Again church membership (John 3:3);

6. Believer's baptism by Immersion in obedience to the command of Christ (Mathew 3:15-16);

7. Autonomy of the local church and its interdependence with other American Baptist Churches, USA;br>

8. Church government vested in mambers of the congregation who reserve the formation of basic church policy; 9. Spiritual unity of all believers (John 17:21-23);

10. Missions and evangelism in obedience to the great commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20);

We, therefore, join together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ.


PURPOSE

The purpose of this church shall be the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It shall seek to attain this through prayer, study of the word of God, public worship, the preaching of the gospel, consistent Christian living, evangelism, missions, and Christian education.


COMMITMENT

Having been led by the Spirit of God, we affirm our belief in Jesus Crist, as Lord and Savior. We dedicate ourselves to His service, and unite with one another in this covenant:

We commit ourselves to continued growth as Christians through prayer, Bible study and worship, and the observacnce of the ordinances of Baptism and Communion.

We will strive for attitudes and actions that reflect God's Spirit working through us.

We will love one another, pray for one another, and help one another to think, speak and act as Christians.

We will share each other's joys, and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy to bear each other's burdens and sorrows.

We pledge to give regularly of ourselves and our resources to the support of our church and its ministry.

As members of this community of faith, we commit ourselves to reach out to the world with the gospel. We will strive for justice, freedom, dignity and peace.
